During my time at High Point University I have been able to find ways to bridge a connection between variously different classes that tie into my end goal of improving my creativity and entrepreneurial mindset. Within the honors science class Domestication Syndrome we were tasked with picking an organism (plant or animal) to domesticate that hasn't already been domesticated. Using my entrepreneurial background I wanted to dive deep into how to help sustain oceanic ecosystems with an impactful solution not just for those underwater but above as well. Thus, leading me to domesticate Staghorn Corral one of the foundational organisms in the ocean. The domestication of Staghorn would not only increase marine life, in turn boosting the reproductive rates of fish strengthening their food chain as well as human consumption with an addition of more tourist destinations.
Within the entrepreneurship major I have grown to look at things differently with a want to continue to find ways to improve the process of how things are done. This can be seen through a research project exploring the ideas of adding a gaming element to the classrooms teaching, in hopes of improving deeper understandings and longer retention.
